Inland Rail Project

Is your property subject to compulsory acquisition or a construction lease for the Inland Rail Project?

Receiving a notice of compulsory acquisition can be deeply upsetting. At Rely Legal, we guide you through the acquisition process by clearly explaining your options, advocating on your behalf, and ensuring you receive the full amount of compensation you are entitled to under The Just Terms Compensation Act.

Inland Rail Project Details

The Australian Government has granted approval for the Inland Rail Narrabri to North Star Phase 2 (N2NS Phase 2) Project. The approved works include the upgrade of approximately 12km of existing rail track across the Gwydir Valley floodplain, north of Moree, the construction of approximately 1.6km of new greenfield rail track to bypass the Camurra Hairpin, and a new 1.3km spur line to preserve the existing connection to the Weemelah line.

The Australian Government is currently considering future decisions regarding the delivery of the Inland Rail north of Narromine.

If your property is situated within the Inland Rail Corridor, it may be subject to compulsory acquisition or a construction lease.

It is important that affected landowners seek independent legal advice to ensure they receive the compensation they are legally entitled to.

Legal and Valuation Costs

Pursuant to the Just Terms Act, the acquiring authority is required to pay the reasonable legal and valuation costs incurred by landowners in relation to the acquisition. This means you will not be responsible for any legal fees charged by Rely Legal.
